The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada and Uruguay chaired (2019-2021) the Women, Peace and Security Network as part of the United Nations Security Council.
The task involved thinking of a symbol representing the joint work of both countries. The image of a flower was chosen because they traditionally personify feminine. As Canada is a founding member of the network, the bunchberry, flower of this country, was chosen.
To avoid the inconvenience of the order of appearance of the countries, the colours of the national symbols were exchanged. With this an interesting visual result is achieved and a diplomatic action is fulfilled.
